Unlike many other similar references, the Myork Foreign Quarter is actually an abbreviated form of “The Foreigners’ Quarters”.  Seeking to keep the non-Angles visiting their port from the local residents, the city of Myork has actually walled off the port and actively discourages foreigners from entering the city proper.

The laws in the Foreign Quarter are different from those within the city.  Non-native churches are allowed in the Foreign Quarter but not in the city.  The rules are permitted businesses are also different, especially as it comes to Myork’s stringent rules about taverns.  Like so many other major ports, Myork’s Foreign Quarter is bustling and lively, filled with warehouses, inns and many forms of entertainment.
